Right, so why doesn't Rez ask for help?

For those in the dark, ZavulonSukkot our plugin programmer has disappared and therefore all development has come to a halt.

Now there is no programmer filling his spot. It's not overly ambitious nor anything hard, it's a matter of even finding one capable man. I can fix most of the issues, put in the new map, and everything will be running smoothly.

There will however be no Holocaust patch, no Heroes update, no new NPC quests, no new system nothing without a plugin developer that is able to work speedily to bring things back in shape.

As of right now, I can say 70% of the buildings are done, last 30% is 5th town and some copy and paste, roads furniture etc. The rest of it is all plugin related.

If anyone can find somebody to fill Zav spot or you can, contact my Skype alias 'Dysphorick'. Ensure that you know not just basic java, but have a strong foundation and medium to advance grasp of it and it would help if you have database knowledge.

I would volunteer for it, but I am working at my own speed, that means you can't push me to do stuff (at least as long as it is for free).
I do not use voice chats (I love silence), so you would need a text-based way to contact me.

Anyway, what I can do:

• Plugin administration (create Quests, Heroes, etc)
  
• Plugin maintenance (if source code is available, I can try my best to adjust it to your needs)
  
• Creating not-too-uber-complex plugins (my newest one: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/mobtrigger/ )
  

Lol xlob, we weren't over ambitious. We were gonna do it but one puzzle piece decided to jump out of the picture so we had to stop for a while.

That first post you made sounded more like "WE ARE GOING DOWN ...!".

As of now, it doesn't sound too bad anymore, thanks to Panda and Rez.

Keep it up guys! This server is really awesome and has great potential to become even better.

Pandemoneus was saying he's an OK dev, as he's done a few plugins =/ he said in chat that he hoped you'd pick him as a dev, you or another admin could talk to him about it

Pande seems qualified to be a developper.

ANYWAYS, Rez, I'd suggest just going ahead with the server restart with your current plugin set to see if that helps with the host issue. I'll let you know when I have more time again.
